'The Widow's Lantern'

FORT WALTON BEACH, FL – David Ott’s “The Widow’s Lantern” will be presented at the Fort Walton Beach Municipal Auditorium on Oct. 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m.

The tale is drawn from Pensacola area history and legend. It tells the story of a doomed love between a slave and a ship’s captain at the end of the Atlantic slave trade, using Pensacola’s lighthouse as backdrop. Marcia Porter is featured.

Tickets for the performances are $15 for adults, $12 for active-duty military, and $7 for students, general admission, and are available from the Pensacola Opera Center at 850-433-6737.
