Bergman-Hinton
Brenda Deal Bergman and Don Lee Hinton, both of New Bern, were united in marriage on Oct. 17, 2009, at Abilena Mansion and Riverfront Plantation with Dr. Jack Hinton and his daughter, Dr. Sharon Bender, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of the late Joe and Evelyn Deal.
The bridegroom is the son of Ruthe Hinton of New Bern and the late Jake Hinton.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Ben Bergman.
Nuptial music was provided by vocalists, the Rev. Phillip Lewis and the Rev. Randy Field.
The matron of honor was Donna Daniels of New Bern.
Maid of honor was Crystal Lupton of Raleigh.
Bridesmaids were Ellie Davis of Greenville, and Tina Hoard and Lisa Parker, both of New Bern.
Emma Tanner was the flower girl.
Best man was Todd Parker of New Bern.
Groomsmen were Tom Arthur and Jeff Cleland, both of New Bern, and Jimmy Scott and Russell Lupton, both of Raleigh.
Tyler Dunn was the ring bearer.
Assisting with the wedding were Nevin Parker and Keaton Betler.
A reception, hosted by the mother of the groom, was held at The Carriage House at Abilena Mansion.
Assisting with the reception were Betty Toler and Dot Parker.
The couple will take a honeymoon at a later date.
The bride graduated from Pamlico Community College and is the owner of Merle Norman Cosmetic and Nail Studio.
The bridegroom graduated from East Carolina University and is employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a sales and service associate.
They plan to live in New Bern.
