Sinfonia Gulf Coast's fourth season opens
The Sinfonia Gulf Coast presents “Let the Music Surround You” at 3 p.m. Nov. 15 at Grace Lutheran Church in Destin to open its fourth season. Principal flute Robin Horne, principal oboe Will Wise and visinting principal trumpet Brian Buerkle take center stage to perform the regional premiere of Barber’s energetic “Capricorn Concerto.” The concert concludes with Igor Stravinsky’s popular “Suite from Pulcinella,” based on the music from the ballet with the same name.
“We are so fortunate to be able to present stellar guest artists with Sinfonia and even more so that our own orchestra members are so gifted and capable of sharing that spotlight,” stated Music Director Demetrius Fuller.
