Leanne G. Perkins and Hunter A. Coore, MD, both of Greenville, were united in marriage on Oct. 22, 2011, at Rock Springs Center with the Rev. Tom Riley and the Rev. Jim Mentzer officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Perkins of Wilson.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Coore of Vass and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Coore of Vass and Mrs. Mary Edgerton of New Bern and the late James Edgerton.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Nuptial music was provided by The Nowel Strings.
The matrons of honor were Alison West and Stacey Carroll, both of Raleigh, sisters of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Deana Horne of Jacksonville, Katherine Jackson and Susan Lee, both of Greenville, and Jessica Spruill, Caroline Sweezy and Jana Winders, all of Wilson.
Best men were Dr. Brian Dunn of Winston-Salem and David Coore, father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Richard Allred, Mike Cameron, MJ Meltzer, and Kenneth Skipper, all of Vass, Dr. Skip Robey and Dr. Ben Gersh, both of Greenville.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Rock Springs Center.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to New York, N.Y.
The bride graduated from ECU School of Nursing and is employed by Pitt County Memorial Hospital as a cardiac nurse educator.
The bridegroom graduated from UNC-Wilmington and ECU’s Brody School of Medicine. He is employed by Pitt County Memorial Hospital as a resident in Internal Medicine.
The couple resides in Greenville.
