Guava grand opening at Destin Commons on Nov. 1

Destin - Another unique shopping choice will be offered to Destin Commons shoppers when the doors open to Guava at 10 a.m. Nov. 1. Guava will display 2,700 square feet of eclectic furnishings with complimentary interior design services, accessories, art in all mediums, candles, jewelry and gifts.

“We decided to move Guava from Pensacola, where we’ve been for the past three years, to Destin Commons,” commented Michael Weiss, who co-owns the business with Daleton Patterson. “With a passion for this business, we are constantly at market in Atlanta, bringing in new and unusual one-of-a-kind merchandise. We carry unique items that people can’t find any place else. Guava is also a great destination to find gifts for that hard to buy for person.”

For example, Guava carries Chamba Cookware, an oven, stove-top and microwave safe ‘green’ product made in the Colombian Andes. Each piece is handmade in Earthen clay with a lush black finish achieved in the baking process with the addition of powdered dried grasses.

Other Guava items include British Traditions, a custom line of cased goods, hutches, dining room tables, chairs and cabinets offered in 50 different color finishes; Cucina offers scented hand cream, purifying hand wash, anti bacterial dish soap and reed diffusers; and original art from area artists Sylvia Corlan, Kathy Taylor and Cissy Martin.

Many eclectic and unusual holiday décor offerings, such as delicate hand-painted eggs from Austria, will be carried throughout the upcoming Christmas season.

And the good news? Guava, offers a visually pleasant shopping experience with an upscale array of goods at affordable prices. For more information, call Guava at 850-460-2160.
