Volunteers needed to watch turtles

PORT ST. JOE - Volunteers are needed to assist in the continued monitoring of sea turtle nesting activity and hatchling disorientation events on the Cape.
   
Volunteers must be reliable and be able to walk at least two miles on the beach in the early morning, at or shortly after sunrise and/or operate an ATV to perform surveys.
   
Volunteers must be able to commit to specific days of the week and be able to stick to a schedule. Volunteers will be needed from May 1 to Oct. 31.
   
Volunteers will need to be able to accurately collect and record data concerning turtle nesting activity and be able to appropriately mark and monitor nests.
