Rock the Docks concert

DESTIN – The Destin American Legion, 311 Main Street, is open to members and guests from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, with entertainment from 7 to 1 p.m.; and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays. Call 837-3818.
Art exhibits: Mattie Kelly Arts Center Galleries
NICEVILLE – The Mattie Kelly Arts Center art galleries at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville are currently featuring free exhibitions on display through July 25 — “Flight Path” explores human flight, both real and fantastic in art, “The Americans” features “Military Family Tree”, a project which memorializes family members who have served in the US Armed Forces, and “Through a Glass Darkly”, a film that addresses military conflict and the natural landscape. Both exhibits are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.
Shark Tank exhibit
DESTIN – The Shark Tank Exhibit at the Destin History and Fishing Museum is ready for viewing at 108 Stahlman Ave. The “shark tank” is visible from the road and houses three shark mounts and other seafloor life.
Operation Inspiration
DESTIN – Worship at The Water with Britt Landron from 6:30 to 8 p.m. July 25 on the outdoor stage at HarborWalk Village.
Le Grand Cirque
SANDESTIN – Featuring more than 40 champion acrobats and performers from Brazil, Canada, Russia, Mongolia, Europe and China, Le Grand Cirque starts in late May at Grand Boulevard and continues throughout the summer. Chuck Lawson
DESTIN – Professional singer, songwriter and musician Chuck Lawson will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. July 28 at Pompano Joe’s.
Music in Grand Park
MIRAMAR BEACH – Local musician and performer Cheryl Jones plays from 5 to 8 p.m. July 28 in Grand Park at Grand Boulevard. Concerts are free and open to the public. Bring a chair or blanket. Grand Boulevard at Sandestin is at the entrance to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
Red, White and Blue Celebration
DESTIN – A weekly ceremony that honors local heroes is held at 7 p.m. July 29 at HarborWalk Village. The Highsteppers Dance troupe and other local dance teams will perform and a mini air show follows the hero's recognition. A frieworks display begins at 8:30 p.m.
Downtown Art Walk
FORT WALTON BEACH – The merchants of Downtown Fort Walton Beach sponsor the Downtown Art Walk from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 30. Artists will display, some shops will serve wine and snacks and musicians will perform at selected locations. Call 244-8191.
