Roll with the punches
Our wedding day was absolutely amazing! Although, extremely windy, so we had to roll with the punches. In the end, everything ends up being perfect be-cause you are marrying your best friend.
I was a wedding planner for many years so not being the one in control of each and every thing was difficult, at first, but by the end letting go and stepping back was the best thing I could have ever done!
Accepting the help made my stress level decrease by half.
Plan photos early
Plan your photos and discuss your ideas with photographer ahead of time. I had in mind many different poses and photos I had wanted but I didn't commu-nicate that very well with my photographer.
Make a check list
Make a check list of things that are most important to you and your future husband. Be sure to include where you don't and where you won't cut costs.
The next step is to figure out where you are willing to cut things or costs, such as cake, flowers, entertainment. With entertainment, both DJ and photo booth were musts for us so we cut down on ceremony decorations.
Take a step back
Something I wish I listened to or maybe even remembered to do — something so many people told me — at some point in the day, take a step back, all by yourself and take in that moment.
Look at how happy your guests are, feel how happy you our are, look how beautiful everything is and, finally, you can see all your hard work and planning at its best. And mostly, enjoy your perfect day even when the minor things happen. Don't sweat the small stuff!
