CRESTVIEW — The Baron’s Tea House is on Ferdon Boulevard, which is also State Road 85.

I had often passed by and wondered about the name.

According to their website, the name was taken from “The Cat Returns,” an animated film that features a cat named Baron Humbert von Gikkingen.

The film is a favorite of owners Kurt and Erica Teets’ daughter, Richelle.

The food
The Baron’s offers not only tea service but also sandwich platters and other a la carte items such as quiche, soup and salad.

The Baron’s London Tea does not require a reservation and includes a pot of tea, blueberry scone and almond butter tea bread, a choice of soup of the day or fruit cup, your choice of a quiche slice or tea sandwich sampler and either Amish bread, brownie or lemon bar for dessert.

My guest and I both chose this tea though our order did vary.
