Landshark’s Pizza: 'Where the locals feed'

Landshark’s Pizza isn’t your run of the mill pizza joint — “it’s where the locals feed.”

“This is a place where people like to come and hang out,” Owner Brian Hassmann told The Log. “We are a true locals’ joint, whether it’s the offseason or in-season.”

After traveling around the county for 20 years working for AT&T, Brian and his wife Sue, who are first time restaurant owners, took over Landshark’s Pizza in October of 2011, fulfilling a lifelong dream.

During his time on the road, the University of Minnesota graduate would visit local sports bars and stow away mental notes and ideas that would serve him well when he operated his own place.

“You would take something from this place and an idea from there,” he said.

His vision turned into a sports bar/pub that serves up one-of-a-kind pizza creations and wings that can be dressed with 22 sauces and spices, such as spicy garlic, Asian zing, mango habanero and garlic parmesan.

“We’re a pizza joint with a wing problem,” Hassmann said. “We’ve got the best of both worlds.”
