NICEVILLE, FL – The galleries at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College will present two exhibitions on Sept. 11 and Oct. 18 – “Vitriforms: Contemporary Glass Art” and “Selections from the Permanent Collection”.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public.
Contemporary Glass Art features the work of four Tallahassee-area artists; Terrie Corbett, Lesley Nolan, Bob Rubanowice and Cheryl Sattler, who work in various glass media, and will be on display in the McIlroy Gallery.
Running concurrently in the Holzhauer Gallery will be a selection of art from Northwest Florida State College’s Permanent Collection. Works by perennial favorites Emil Holzhauer and Marie Snow Greene will be on display, as will pieces chosen to compliment the glass art in the McIlroy Gallery.
A Preview Reception will be held in the galleries on Sept. 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Gallery hours for the exhibit are Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. and 90 minutes prior to most performances in the main stage theater of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center.
