What: Art Walk
When: Feb. 1 from 5 – 8 p.m.
Where: Ruskin Place in Seaside
Why: Local artists, authors and musicians will be hosted at the Seaside Ruskin Place shops, galleries and restaurants. There are opportunities to meet the artists, see works in progress, hear live music or have a book signed. For more information visit seasidechamber.com

What: Escorted History Tour
When: Feb. 2 at 10 a.m.
Where: Camp Helen State Park
Why: The Friends of Camp Helen provide history tours that detail how the land became a state park and information about the land’s ownership by Mr. and Mrs. Hicks and Avondale Mills. The tour is free with paid park admission of $4 per vehicle. For more information call (850) 233-5059.

What: Chef David’s Cooking School
When: Feb. 7 from 6:30 – 9 p.m.
Where: V Seagrove
Why: Chef David teaches how to prepare selected seasonal cuisine and pair with wine. Attendees will dine with the chef and take the recipe home. The cooking school is $60 per person and limited seats are available. Call (850) 468-0973 for reservations.

What: Wine, Women and Shoes Vinter Dinners
When: Feb. 8 at 6 p.m.
Where: Homes in Destin, Sandestin, Bluewater Bay and Panama City Beach
Why: Dinners will feature regional chefs and wines from Prisoner, Faust, Swanson, Justin, Blackbird, Adavino collection and more. Tickets are available at sinfoniagulfcoast.org for $250. Contact the box office for more information at (850) 269-7729.

What: The Amernet String Quartet at Rosemary Beach
When: Feb. 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Rosemary Beach Town Hall
Why: The Quartet is an Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University. Tickets are available at sonfoniagulfcoast.org and are $35. Contact the box office for more information at (850) 269-7729.

What: The World’s Longest Beach Run, Beach 5k and Beach Challenge
When: Feb. 15 - 17
Where: The Back Porch (5k) and Tops’l Beach Resort (50 mile, 50k, etc.)
Why: The “Son of a Beach 5k” begins at 8 a.m. on Feb. 16. The 50 mile run begins at 5 a.m., the 50k at 6 a.m. and the relay at 7 a.m. on Feb 17. The course closes at 7 p.m. There is also a runner’s social at the Red Bar on Feb. 18. The Destin 50 Beach Ultra is a 501(c)3 charity which benefits the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Registration for the 50 mile is $150, the 50k is $125 and the relay is $210-250. To register or for more information go to destin50.com

What: 11th Annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade
When: Feb. 12 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Where: Baytowne Wharf
