What: January Art Walk
When: Jan 4 from 5 – 8 p.m.
Where: Ruskin Place in Seaside
Why: Local artists, authors and musicians will be hosted at the Seaside Ruskin Place shops, galleries and restaurants. There are opportunities to meet the artists, see works in progress, hear live music or have a book signed. For more information visit seasidechamber.com

What: Alan Moore Opening Reception
When: Jan. 4 at 6 p.m.
Where: Amavida Coffee in Rosemary Beach
Why: Alan Moore will display his collection “Music… Non-Stop” which is using the medium of vintage soda and beer cans and will pair sight with sound. Local musicians Chris and Gileah Taylor, Wood Rat and Libby O’Neill will be featured at the event.

What: Escorted History Tour
When: Jan 5 at 10 a.m.
Where: Camp Helen State Park
Why: The Friends of Camp Helen provide history tours that detail how the land became a state park and information about the land’s ownership by Mr. and Mrs. Hicks and Avondale Mills. The tour is free with paid park admission of $4 per vehicle. For more information call (850) 233-5059.

What: Jerry Seinfeld performance
When: Jan. 10 at 7 p.m.
Where: Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville
Why: Niceville is one of the famous comedian’s stops along his world tour this January. Seinfeld will be performing his signature stand-up routine and tickets are $79.50 each + processing. What: The New York Tenors
When: Jan 12. at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Mattie Kelly Arts Center in Niceville
Why: Daniel Rodriguez, Andy Cooney and Michael Amante will perform a Broadway, Opera and American Classics showcase. Tickets are $35 each or $30 for groups of 10. Tickets are available online, in person or by phone. Call (850) 729-6000 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday or visit mattiekellyartscenter.org The box office will also open at 6 p.m. day of show for space-permitting, at-the-door seating, offered at the same price. There is an additional processing fee of $2.

What: Sole Sisters Kick-off Lunch for Wine, Women and Shoes
When: Jan 17. at 11:30 a.m.
Where: Fleming’s Prime Steak House & Wine Bar – Grand Boulevard
Why: Destin Jewelers and Sinfonia Gulf Coast present an outing complete with lunch, fashion show and a sample sale from W by Worth. Tickets are available at sinfoniagulfcoast.org for $45. Contact the box office for more information at (850) 269-7729.

What: Night Hike
When: Jan 18. at 4:45 p.m.
Where: Topsail Hill Preserve State Park (7525 W. Scenic 30A
Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459)
Why: Attendees watch the sunset, then take a mile hike to the day-use parking lot. Meet there at 4:45 p.m. and ride the tram to the beach at 5 p.m. $6 entry fee to the park. For more information call (850) 267-8330
