The 2012-2013 season marks Sinfonia’s seventh year of innovative musical programming as the region’s only fully professional symphony orchestra.

Maintaining the tradition of “symphony redefined,” the non-profit symphony will present a stellar lineup of concerts featuring the orchestra and world-renowned guest artists.

Dubbed “007 Years of Symphony Redefined,” the season culminates in an orchestral tour de force of the original soundtracks from all of the “James Bond” films in “Bond & Beyond: Celebrating 50 years of James Bond.”

The main season begins with a “Broadway Holiday” in the annual holiday concert on Friday, Dec. 14 at Destiny Worship Center.

Tony Award-nominated Broadway superstar Gary Mauer (currently the Phantom in “Phantom of the Opera”) and vocal sensation Morgan James (“Godspell,” “The Addams Family,” and “Motown the Musical,”) join the orchestra for an orchestral tour through everyone’s favorite holiday melodies and the beloved Broadway tunes that made them famous.

Grammy Award-nominee Caroline Goulding returns to the Sinfonia stage Friday Jan. 25 to perform Sibelius’ epic violin concerto.

“Technically brilliant young violinists grow on trees these days, but few have so strong a personality so early,” claimed the Dallas Morning News.
