When you want to go to lunch and head to the beach (or vice versa), June White Decker Public Beach Access is a good spot to dine and dash — to the beach.

THE LOWDOWN: At the end of Restaurant Road on Scenic 98, June White Decker beach has parking and all the regular beach amenities you’d want including shower, restrooms and a walkover. You’re not a long walk away from the beach unlike some of the more popular spots.

WHAT’S NEARBY: The Back Porch, 1740 Scenic Hwy. 98 (seafood, American); Candymaker, 1771 Scenic Hwy. 98 (breakfast, sweets); Destin Diner, 1083 U.S. Hwy. 98 (American).

BEST BEACH … for lunch or brunch: Restaurants are just a short walk away.

BEACH ACCESS: Scenic Hwy. 98, end of Restaurant Road.

OTHER BEACH ACCESSES: Calhoun Beach Access, Scenic 98 (Restaurant Rd.); Silver Shells, 7th Street and Scenic 98.
